The aim of this project was to develop a new form language for Cramer, an existing lawn care brand, as they begin to expand into the battery powered, professional hand tool, market following their recent acquisition by Globe Tools Group.
Industry leaders were analyzed in conjunction with professional reviews and literature in order to gain a holistic understanding of the market.
Using professional reviews and literature, a set of general performance parameters for a professional impact driver was devised.
Extensive research was done, both in theoretical literature and through physical experiments, to set quantitative parameters for ergonomic optimization.
